An Ecological Clerk of Works is a person or group of people who provide supervision on a specific site. This could include construction sites, where ecological risks are likely to be present.
There is an increasing need for an ECoW to provide assistance on sites where building or construction is in the early stages of planning. It helps to ensure compliance with planning conditions or with specific requirements, under Natural England.
